During the class we practice Hatha yoga, commencing with a brief meditation, followed by breathing exercises (paranyama) and a sequence of yoga postures (asanas) with a different focus each week, as well as sun salutations. We close the class with relaxation and mantra chanting. We focus on proper breathing, body alignment and learning the basic yoga postures for balance, strength, flexibility and stress reduction.
