I was interested in yoga since my teen years, but started a regular practice in 2016, seeking some quiet concentration that would balance the constant rush and pressure of a corporate life.
(I used to be a Purchasing Manager in a Japanese automotive company)

It had soon turned out that yoga not only helped me to get calmer, but also improved my flexibility, strength and balance. With time, it enhanced my immune system and became an important part of my life. I travelled a lot, and I was always doing it with a mat. After years of daily practice done in hotels, motels and airports, I decided to share my enthusiasm with others and become a yoga teacher.

I got my 200HR Yoga Teacher certification in November 2020 (300HR certification in February 2021), and are teaching since then. I am also an Iyengar yoga student.

My favourite styles are animal moves, chair and restorative, for they prove that everyone can make profound changes just by taking simple steps.
I would like to help my students take this conviction from the mat to their daily lives, so that they could have more confidence in following their dreams.

About our yoga styles:

Animal moves (or yin and yang) yoga is an art based on the Chinese healing practices originated 5000 years ago and then influenced by Indian yogis around 2000 years ago.

It combines active yoga poses, passive yoga poses, chi kung movement exercises, visualisations and breathing meditations.

Main benefits are:

  • clearing energetic blockages in the body, which improves circulation
  • significant improvement in the range of motion
  • increased core strength, stamina and balance
  • enhanced vitality, health and self awareness
  • releasing tension and calming down the mind.

Animal moves method is great for seniors and people with limited mobility, because it works through the gentle movement that settles them in the pose rather than through long lasting or heavy effort.

It is also a fun way for kids to start their journey with yoga. While doing animal based postures, kids feel like they are just playing around and not doing serious work. Which is crucial if we want them to continue any activity for longer than 5 minutes.

Restorative yoga is a perfect choice for people that live in a ‘bigger-better-faster-more’ environment and need to slow down.

It’s also a good way to start a yoga experience for those who say ‘I would like to do yoga but I will never be able to bend like that’.

Restorative yoga is slow and grounded, and you are fully supported by bolsters, blankets, blocks, chairs or walls. Thanks to this support, your body can gradually open in a passive way and switch from ‘fight or flight’ to ‘rest and digest’ mode.

Benefits are:

  • deep relaxation
  • healing on the cellular level
  • relieving insomnia and anxiety
  • improving flexibility without strain on muscles and ligaments
  • improving digestion.

Surprisingly, in case of people living under constant stress, ‘no movement’ yoga can even support weight loss, as it provides the body with additional relaxed time that is necessary for the digestion process.

Chair yoga is for those of us who don’t want to get down to the floor and up again for multiple times during one practice.

It might be due to illness, injury, mobility issues or ageing. No matter what the reasons are, you can still enjoy all the benefits that yoga offers while you remain seated :). If you prefer, you may be standing and using the chair as a prop for part of the class time.

Practice is slow, gentle, and does not require heavy effort.

Main benefits are:

  • strengthening of core muscles
  • improving joint mobility
  • toning the spine
  • relieving the symptoms of stress and anxiety
  • better sleep
  • enhanced immunity
  • increased mind-body connection
